A smile, a tear… for someone dear…

Noisy banter
Laughter
Whimper
…A chest, to store secrets and everything worth confiding
A marquee of comfort, a bed of solace
A fork
As destiny desired
Or
A Free Will’s choice
Some out of reach to keep touch
Some lost in the world so wide
So engrossed we just don’t mind
A dart
